Thai Le was born in 1981 in Vietnam. In 1991, a big event changed his life when he was sponsored to come to America by his grandmother at the age of ten.
When he turned 18, Thai graduated from high school and decided to explore the United States. To save money for his travels, he started working in the nail industry. At that time, it was easy to become a nail technician even without experience. Thai didn’t know that this job would become his big passion. Starting in Indiana in 2000, Thai took his first steps in the nail industry. His career grew when he moved to New Jersey, where he built and developed his profession.
Thai faced many challenges, especially when he owned his first nail salon. Some difficulties included:
- Finding Good Nail Technicians: Thai struggled to find and keep skilled nail technicians because he could not pay high salaries. If the workers were not good, customers were not happy.
- Customer Challenges: Thai didn’t know how to attract new customers or keep old ones.
- Financial Problems: Thai used all his savings to buy the salon, so he had no money for repairs or upgrades when equipment broke. Small salons often find it hard to compete with larger ones because of space, old equipment, and no good ventilation.
- Upgrading the Salon: Thai made mistakes when he bought new furniture. He chose products that did not meet his needs. He only changed the furniture without redesigning and rearranging the salon to make it look nicer and cleaner, which would attract more customers.
- Maintaining and Repairing Pedicure Chairs: Thai chose the wrong company for salon equipment that provided poor service and was far away, so he did not get help for Pedi chair repairs.
To overcome these challenges, Thai always looked for ways to learn and improve. He realized that attracting and caring for customers was the key to success.

Mr. Thai Le & wife at Mr Spa
In 2007, a Korean person invited him to buy gel products, and they became friends and business partners. When Thai started offering products to other nail salons, he realized he had been narrow-minded, thinking his salon was the best. But he saw many beautiful, larger, and more luxurious salons outside. This opened his eyes to the potential of the nail industry and inspired him to grow further.
In 2009, Thai officially opened a company to supply nail products and began selling furniture. He didn’t stop there and continued to open more nail salons (his second salon in 2011, his third in 2012, and a large fourth salon in 2015 with 6,000 square feet, 20 pedicure chairs, 26 nail tables, and 8 hair tables; in 2018, he built four more salons in one year). As he focused on building more salons, Thai also found a passion for construction.

Mr. Thai Le & Mr. Truc at Mr. Spa
Meeting S3 Spa in 2018 marked a big step in Thai’s journey. After flying to Atlanta to learn about S3 Spa’s products, he realized their pedicure chairs were excellent, and New Jersey didn’t have such good products at competitive prices. He was especially impressed with the knowledge and careful product selection of Mr. Truc, the founder of S3, who had a good technical background.
“Often, I see other companies just buy products from China and sell them. When customers report issues, they just send the problems back to the company without understanding the technical aspects” Thai said. This inspired him to bring quality products to the New Jersey market and establish Mr. Spa in 2019.
Mr. Spa is not just a company that provides high-quality pedicure chairs and furniture; it is also a place where Thai wants to support and partner with nail salon owners. He aims to share his experience and knowledge to help them build and run their nail salons more effectively and solve the difficulties he once faced.
Thanks to his constant effort, Thai has helped build 14 new nail salons, remodeled 4 salons, and sold many pieces of furniture for nail salons. Thai believes that with passion and perseverance, he will continue to support and create more value for Vietnamese nail salon owners in America.
